Creating A New Ad

To start a new ad: at the top of the Dashboard, select the purple ‘Create New Ad’ button.

A.) Ad Type:
  • Video – Use this section for
    • The primary video asset for RRM ads (see Uploading Video section)
    • In-Stream (video-only) units needing VAST/VPAID tags (see In-Stream section)
  • Rich Media – Multi-screen rich media units (safe to use for all RRM & animated ads)
  • Mobile, Social, and Native – Do not use these types
B.) Ad Unit:

Select the type of ad unit. You can then configure:

  • Configure a base only, expansion only, or both base & expansion
  • Size: enter custom size. Note that each ad unit title in the dropdown (ie: IAB Medium Rectangle, IAB Leaderboard) will only allow unique sizes. You can’t put two 300×250 base units under the Medium Rectangle. You also can’t make two 600×250 Expansion units under the same unit title either. Some titles (ie: IAB Pushdown) come with functionalities like auto-expansion built in.
  • Background color: specify a color for the unit’s background (this is optional). Note that the background will be transparent if left blank.
C.) Add New IAB Rich Media Unit:

Creates your unit within the Jivox ad you’ve started.

D.) Enter Ad Information: Ad Unit Naming Convention
  • Ad Name: CreativeApproachNumber_OpportunityName_descriptor
    • Use logical descriptors like “buick_encore” or “grandopening”
    • Example:
  • Clickthrough: Sets the primary/background clickthrough for the ad preview link
E.) Continue to Customize Layout:

Enter Ad studio for the selected unit. See Ad Studio section

F.) Save Ad:

Saves the whole Jivox ad and exits back to the dashboard.
